Citrus Apple Splice Smoothie
This is a great smoothie for those that don’t like things too sweet. The lemon and tart green apple provides a really nice balance to the sweetness from the banana. It has your fibre, protein and good fats as well as a big hit of Omega 3’s from the flaxseeds.
Ingredients:¼ cup activated almonds1 green apple, cored and chopped½ frozen banana, chopped½ lemon, peeled1 handful spinach1 tablespoon flaxseeds1 scoop chocolate pea protein powder (optional)1 teaspoon cinnamon¼ teaspoon nutmeg1 cup coconut waterMethod:Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend for 60 sec until smooth and creamy. Pour into glass and enjoy.Serves 1
